This painting was produced from a sketch I made on a Great Ocean Road winter road trip. Painted in an impressionistic style,  capturing the raw, elemental beauty of Bells Beach during a crisp winter afternoon. Visible, textured brushstrokes convey the restless energy of the Southern Ocean as brilliant beams of golden sunlight pierce momentarily ,through heavy bruised storm clouds, illuminating the iconic surf break below.
