This painting is a depiction of Australian golden wattle blooms, picked from my garden. Arranged in a small glass placed on a white linen cloth on a table top. Painted from life,using eco-friendly oils and a limited but vibrant palette, the painting symbolizes the arrival of spring.The paint is applied thick with visible and energetic short brushstrokes, following the forms of the leaves and the blooms around the canvas, creating texture, movement and rhythm.
