This oil painting was created from a sketch I made during a winter road trip along the Great Ocean Road.  A moody Impressionistic oil painting capturing the raw fury of Bells Beach in the dead of winter, viewed from high atop the ironstone cliffs. Gestural  brushstrokes bring the scene to life, emphasizing the chaotic energy of a roaring ocean and an advancing storm. a closer look will find tiny surfers bobbing in the surf!
